All the Pokemon currently in the room looked at the Guildmaster. As usual, Sunny was smiling her joy-inducing smile, Pokemon gasping in amazement and clapping at her appearance. It was always a good thing when the strong and protective Leavanny was there. Besides, she had her trusty Lombre by her side, No? "Hello, my fellow friends, it is great to have you appear at this humble abode I've prepared for you all!" she said, bowing down with her practiced etiquette, performed every guild initiation. "Today is the day you will make yourselves at home, and will work to become future explorers and rescuers of this guild! You will beat the bad out of the sacred land we live on, and be the heroes you've always wanted to become!" Growlie yawned, then lightly hit by the Mole next to her. She yipped quietly and whispered "Sorry." Her attention turned to the Lax Edgar, who was announcing which rooms the Pokemon'd sleep in. Next day come, They'd check the bulletin board in the meeting room to find out who'd be on on their own rescue teams! The day went by fast, but with a good amount of excitement. Growlie stepped up to Edgar and asked: "Where is my room, sir?" She was told where it was, and in a speedy jog, she made her way towards it, leaving a dizzy Wade behind her-- Little did she know, she accidentally ran a bit too fast for his eyes.

Orchid had a very bad habit of dozing off in the middle of speeches, conversations, and lectures. All he heard was where the Pokemon would sleep.
He slowly approached the lax Edgar with half opened eyes and asked him if he was able to sleep. The other Pokemon shook their head but Orchid trudged to his room.
He was relieved when he saw a comfortable bed. He went on it and started to doze off...

Wade looked around- everyone else had already departed for their rooms. He trudged toward Edgar. Before Wade could even ask, Edgar announced, "Wade, your first-night stay is the third door to the right, right down the Housing Corridor." Wade nodded, and trotted off toward his brightly-lit room- as there was a large window overlooking the town on its western wall. After a few minutes of taking in the sights from his new lookout point, an announcement came echoing through the hall. "Please make yourselves comfortable with this time! Soon another announcement will call all new guild members down to the initiation room for your exploration teams to be assigned," Edgar's relaxed but enthusiastic voice rang.

Kaleb quietly made his way to his own room, sitting on his bed with a tired sigh. /"What a day, I can't believe it's gone by so fast."/ he thought to himself, deciding to take a quick nap before it was time to be assigned partners.

Volt stretched out his body as he made his way toward Edgar. He asked politely where his room was and began off as Edgar replied. He wondered who exactly he would be with on his team. He just hoped it wasn't Growlie, he knew that if she was with him, missions would never ever get done at all. He flopped down on his bed and began to doze off a little bit.

Cecil stared up at the Guildmaster as she spoke; even in front of the small crowd of strangers, she was collected and calm. Cecil almost smiled, finding a strong respect for the lovely Leavanny.
He left his thoughts to find the other recruits leaving for their rooms. He looked to Edgar hesitantly, once he was finished speaking with the others. The Lombre, not needing to be asked, pointed towards the Yamask's room. Cecil bowed politely, and quickly found his assigned place.
He set the peculiar mask he always held on the small table near his bed, and gazed out the window. It was only a matter of time before teams would be assigned, and nervous didn't even come close to his state of mind. Any of those Pokémon could be his partner sooner or later... and he'd only had the time to get acquainted with one of them.
Who would it be? He inwardly hoped it wouldn't be the stern growlithe he'd seen, but... Orchid wouldn't be bad. He seemed friendly enough, and Cecil had taken somewhat of a liking to him at first glance. He sighed.
No use worrying about it now. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep with so many thoughts and questions swirling in his head. But he closed the blinds and fell onto his bed, looking up at the ceiling. It was going to be hard to wait.

After setting up her area, Growlie figured she should visit everyones dorms. She passed by everyone's dorms, once again burning Volt in the process, and Hanging out with Wade to pass time. After a while, she hears Edgar's voice calling the Pokemon out to see their teams, all put on the bulletin board.

Cecil glanced out into the hall, spotting the Growlithe as she sauntered past. He leaned his head back- but was almost immediately startled as another voice rang out, calling each recruit to return for their assigned teams. Ready as he'd ever be, Cecil picked up his mask and warily headed towards the bulletin, not wanting to be the last in line for news again.

Wade jumped as he heard the sudden announcement, and was dashing out of his room with Growlie right away. He knew that even if he wasn't placed with Growlie, he would love what he got. He stopped on a dime in front of the bulletin board, and soon a crowd of pokémon were all prying for a look around him. Wade was in shock. His team was great– Cecil, and Orchid! But there was something else... and it was very wrong. Growlie... with Volt?!

Seeing Wade's face in a shock, she was worried, confused and as usual, curious at the same time. "Wade, whats wrong?" He stepped aside and looked at the board; "This can't be right. This is absolutely impossible!" She turned to the mole, glaring at him out of anger, completely pissed that she'd be with that annoying pokemon.

Volt walked toward the other pokemon with caution. Who would he be paired up with? He walked up behind Wade and Growlie and took a glance at the board. His face immediately became surprised. His name, paired with the fire dog. He was stunned. "Oh no. Ohh, no, this has to be some mistake." He blurted out.
Would he actually be partners with her? They got off on the wrong foot and he HATED her attitude. His face only showed silent anger as he still looked at the board.

"AAAUGH!" She yelled! Leaving the room while everybody stared at her. She made her way towards her room, immediately falling onto her bed as soon as she came in. "Why me, of all people. I came here to be successful..! Not to be cursed with terrible luck and partner.." tears start to form, as she usually.. cries during stress. It was extremely unlike her, but it somehow happened, and she hated hersolf for it.

Volt didn't say a word. He didn't want to show how frustrated he was to everyone. He held his head down and decided that if he has her as a partner, he'd have to work with her. He cringed at the idea. Working with her would probably be the most difficult thing ever for him. His fluff prickled with consternation. Why did he have to work with her? "Why her of all people? Why couldn't I work with Kaleb or that new mask guy?" He thought to himself. He sighed with dismay. His goal would be much harder to achieve than he thought.

Although he was inwardly eager to learn of his team, he wasn't too keen on squeezing through the crowd. The first to come was the Drilbur... what was his name? Wade? Although he hadn't been introduced to everyone, he'd still taken the time to learn their names. He was much more comfortable with listening in.
Wade seemed pleased with the results, but once Growlie approached, chaos ensued. What consisted of a few troubled growls and groans and one fuming recruit storming out of the room... was a bit of a blur. Cecil watched her leave with wide eyes; could it have really been that bad? He must have really missed a lot. He looked back towards the bulletin, drifting in next to Wade to see the results for himself.
So he'd been paired with Orchid after all? What a lucky coincidence. And... wait, and? Surely enough, there were two names next to his own. Orchid, and... Wade.
His attention wandered to the Drilbur next to him. "... U-um... so!" He began, lifting his cowl up from over his eyes. "So, that's-- I mean, that's... that." He paused, cleared his throat, and quickly offered a handshake. "Wade, wasn't it?"

Kaleb, having been startled awake by the Growlithe stampeding down the hall, got up quickly. How long had he been asleep ?! Was he going to be late ?! Was he going to miss it entirely ?! The fluffy bird swung out of his room and hurried to where he could hear the other Pokemon chattering as they discovered who their teamates were. The Rufflet nearly tripped into the crowd in his rush but saved himself the embarassement as he carefully made his way to look over the bulletin board. As he read Lunetta's name next to his, excitement sparked inside him, but he managed to keep most of it hidden. "Cool !" he chirped happily to himself, turning to look for his partner among the group of Pokemon.
