Orchid, having been the lazy little Drowzee that he is, woke up to the sound of Pokemon... chattering about their teams!?
He quickly realized that teams were being announced.
He ran as fast as his legs could carry him. In doing so, he startled most of the Pokemon surrounding the bulletin.
Contrary to his usual hesitation, he rushed to pinpoint his name on the board. He sniffed in some air, something he did when exposed to new things. Two names were listed by Orchid's own: Wade and Cecil!
He was surprised that he was paired with an acquaintance from earlier times, and on top of that, a team of three! He remembered the very Yamask, Cecil, he met earlier, but... Wade? He never heard of this Pokemon before.
Coincidentally, he saw his teammates beside each other and approached them.
In a sweet but lax voice, he said to his teammates, "...I'm glad I'm on your team...! I hope we can become great friends." He turned to the Drilbur. "You must be Wade, correct? ...Nice to meet you!"

Wade snapped out of his trance- he had been completely dumbfounded by Growlie's team placement. He glanced left and right, only to see the very two pokémon he was assigned a team with standing on either side of him offering handshakes. He let out a quiet giggle- maybe they hadn't processed the fact that he had massive claws that would probably sever all of their limbs on contact. Plus- wouldn't Cecil's hand drift right through Wade's hand as if it weren't there? Wade settled with smiling warmly at both of the pokémon beside him in turn. "You must be Orchid... and," he shifted his weight and hesitated when he turned to face the ghostly presence right next to him- both other pokémon on his team seemed to tower over him, but Cecil gave him a feeling he wasn't familiar with. Uncomfortable, apprehensive, and small. Wade felt small- but he could see Cecil was waiting for him to say something. "Ah..." Wade cleared his throat, and put on the best fake smile he could manage. "And you're Cecil, if I'm not, uh, mistaken!"

Cecil smiled slightly, clasping his hands together. He was grateful that his teammates were so welcoming- he knew for sure that not everyone had been satisfied with the Guildmaster’s choices. Even though Wade seemed tense behind that grin, Cecil dismissed it as nothing. Surely they were all a bit excited.
“No. That’s right.” Now that they were introduced, the Yamask finally felt at ease. “I… I look forward to working with you.” He added, lowering his head in a sort of bow. Perhaps he was being a bit too formal, but he was eager to make a good first impression.

Smiling, Lunetta faced Kaleb. She had gotten a partner that she was satisfied with. "So," she smiled, "I guess we are partners from now on!"

Despite recently waking up from slumber, Orchid went up to Wade, looking into his eyes and said cheerfully,
"Yes, I am! ...I'm look forward to working with you. Now... let's do our best together!"
Without hesitation, Orchid approached Cecil and shook his hand, and communicated, almost like a melody,
"...And, it was nice to meet you too! I am looking forward to working with you as well. I hope we become great friends!"
Orchid took a few steps back and stood, looking worn out. He thought his group members were interesting Pokemon. He also wanted to help Cecil gain more confidence, after observing him being nervous and shy around others.
However, Orchid completely overlooked Wade's uneasiness around Cecil.

Volt felt his cheeks burn with envy. He didn't know why he felt jealous, he didn't like the dog at all. It was probably that he was the only one not talking positively with his partner. He sighed, suddenly feeling guilty that he was so impudent to his newly-made "partner", trying to think on the bright side that they could maybe get along and be the best of partners or friends or something like that.
Fat chance, he thought. He should probably talk to Growlie, even if he loathed her.

Kaleb grinned brightly back at Lunetta. "Yeah !" He replied contently, excited by the very thought of the adventures they would embark on as a team.
Though he did wonder how much time would be spent here, with just the few teams of Pokemon greeting eachother and introducing themselves, but he decided to take the time to try to get to know his own partner a little better. "So, how did you hear about the guild ?" he asked a bit timidly.

"As a little bird," she smiled, remembering her nest as a child. " I always heard tales of adventure and glory from elders. So, I wanted to become the best adventurer in the world. It's gonna be a long way to reach that goat, but someday, i'll get there!" Realizing she blabbed too much, Lunetta
straightened her posture. "So Kaleb, why do you want to be an adventurer?"

The Rufflet thought for a second. "Well, my parents were explorers, and they always told me all about their adventures, but they never let me come with them. So I've really wanted to be on an exploration team for a long time, like you I guess." he had tried not to let himself talk too much, but this time he had failed, he grinned awkwardly to himself at the little mistake but quickly turned his full attention back to his partner.

Cecil recoiled slightly as Orchid shook his hand, drawing his free hand close and shooting him somewhat of an uneasy look… before forcing a smile again. He shouldn’t be this tense- especially around new teammates- but he couldn’t help but be a little edgy. It wasn’t in his nature to accept others so quickly, yet here he was, left with two strangers he’d never met. And if all went as planned, they’d stick together for the long run.
Then again… Orchid didn’t seem to have any trouble further socializing amongst the group. He spoke with a smile and, honestly, didn’t seem nervous at all. Perhaps the ghost wasn’t quite cut out for this.
But looking up at the bulletin, he couldn’t help but feel a spark of excitement. Seeing his name printed there alongside so many others. He smiled, a real smile this time, and tugged at his cowl, pulling it back over his face. Half of him wanted nothing more than to hide, and half of him couldn’t wait to begin.

Wade was still trying to figure out why he was feeling so apprehensive when his thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a loud crash, which was then followed by a loud clanging. He jumped at the sound- as did everyone around him, it seemed. Suddenly the wooden doors in the bottom left corner of the lobby burst open, revealing a Spinda with a chef's hat covering one ear. "Dinner! Dinner's ready!!"

Growlie sauntered out of her room, slowly yet stealthily making her way to the dinner room. Trying to avoid her new, "teammate" she hid behind the pokemon entering the room, observing who sat where and why.

Orchid perked up as he smelled the scent of the delectable food. He smiled at both of his teammates and walked off to where the others were headed. All that was on his mind was the scent of the warm, delightful meal.

After seeing the Chef, a Spinda supposedly named Dudley (nobody trusted this fact due to how absurd the guy acted), They had been served what they've been waiting to eat; Big apples, Oran, Sitrus and many more berries, Herbs and even Moo Moo Milk imported from the port of Commerce Central, famous for making tons of gold everywhere. They ate and ate till their stomachs burst, having fun and making friends. (That is, with a slight exception of Growlie and Volt, but we'll ignore them for the time being; no? All their bickering wont matter.) Finally, the time came when Sunny and her Assistant appeared, dismissing all from the cafe and blessing the pokemon, thanking and welcoming them to the guild they've just joined. Their night was splendid, every 'mon admitting to have had fun. After this pizzaz, everybody made their way back to their rooms, succesfully passing one of Sunny's tests-- The ability to enjoy themeselves.
"Goodnight, everybody." Sang Sunny, soothing all's minds as they fell to slumber.
