Day 1. Training ensues. Missions were already assigned on the bulletin board, marking a shady forest called Shinba. Shinba was a mystically over-grown rainforest, humidity so thick and damp it could almost even kill. You would be wet in mere seconds! Stay safe, fire types.
"Be careful when venturing through the forest! Many pokemon've disappeared, and you wouldnt like that happening to you. Each team will be assigned different objectives- Though you might want to snag one for more money and items before another group gets it! The early bird trio gets the worm!" Was marked- Neat handwriting for a bug; The bug, to be exact, Sunny- Who had no hands- Had already prepared. How does she do it?
Alas, good luck ends here. Mayor Slowking, named Montgomery Chadwick, had gone missing. How unfortunate! Sunny'd sent Edgar to manage the situation; Rounding up all the team members to go and try scouting for their (mostly likely) deceased Mayor.

Wade yawned as he sat up slowly in his soft bed after a rude awakening by a loud and sudden announcement. He hadn't quite processed anything yet, at the crack of dawn. He looked around his team's room and saw Orchid sleeping like a log in his bed, but Cecil's bed was... unoccupied. Odd. What had that announcement said again? Something about the Mayor having gone missing...
..."WHAT!? MAYOR MONTGOMERY CHADWICK IS MISSING!?!?" shouted Wade upon his sudden realization. He rocketed out of his bed and dashed down the halls faster than he'd ever ran, when something got in his way. He tripped over a golden mask and took a harsh tumble on the cold floor of the winding housing hallway, unceremoniously landing flat on his face.

Kaleb, for once in his life, managed to get up a few minutes early to be present for the announcement, and to figure out what he and Lunetta would be doing that day.
He wasn't sure where his partner was, he had been so concentrated on getting up on time that he hadn't noticed whether or not she was still in bed.
He looked around, wondering half heartedly if he should go look for Lunetta, or see exactly what their mission would be.
Kaleb then spotted Wade, and hopped toward him. "Good morning! You're... Wallace... Right...?" He trailed off.
Lord Arceus above he was terrible at names.

Lunetta woke up to a loud voice screaming something about the mayor. (She was a heavy sleeper.) She got up, yawning, and realized the time. Quickly waddling to her partner, Kaleb, she took a breath. If she wanted to be an adventurerer, she had to be quick and nimble, like Sunny, (who could do stuff with weird leaf hands) but she could barely balance an oran berry on her beak without it falling off! Taking her mind off her mistake, Lunetta panted. "So, Kaleb.... what's up?" Smiling coyly, she bit into an extra apple she had been saving.

"His name is Wade."
She declared to the Kaleb. "Good Morning, all of you. Whats with the commotion?" She asked, recalling the abrupt message of the gone Montgomery. She was indifferent about his current situation, yet she figured she could train more inside of the forest-- Maybe even figure why it was supposedly haunted. The problem was, her partner. Volt would most likely try to pin her down, as she tries to go and do things her own way. Growlie loved Sunny. She really did. But honestly? Pairing her up with Volt? Disgusting choice. Either way, she was glad she participated, she thought. That was, until Edgar came down, surprisingly alert; Different from his usual coy and sluggish expression. Edgar announced, "All of you, round up with your partners and gather your items until you're ready. When you're done with it, come upstairs immediately!" He shouted, essentially waking up all the others.

Kaleb looked disapointed in himself after Growlie barked at him, and he quickly decided to assume Wade just hadn't heard him! He turned back around to where Lunetta was standing, and a little louder than he expected it to come out, chirped "Good morning!" he cleared his throat, "I'm just fine." he answered a bit quieter.
He was going to ask Lunetta if she had rested well, but the second loud announcement inturrupted him. "I guess we don't really have any items yet do we," he said to himself. "So do you want to just get going up there now?" he asked, looking toward his partner for a reply.

Kaleb grinned, then turned to go upsairs. But he saw Wade again, and how he still looked very much not awake! He waddled over and poked at the small mole-like pokemon's side. "Hey... You alright there buddy?" he asked a little worriedly, eyeing the golden mask on the ground near him.

Fragile Wade had at first been knocked out cold by his rough fall, but had transferred into deep sleep again at some point, as he was still very exhausted. His response to Kaleb's pokes was nothing more than rolling over with a yawn.

Volt finally woke up, realizing he overslept, like the loser he is. He had heard that announcement, but he ignored it, trying to get more shuteye. He knew that Growlie wouldn't tell him anything, of course. He had no idea what he had to do and go right now, even if he did hear commotion. He stepped out of his room, looking for others in the hall to tell him where to go. Obviously, he was late in a general sense, and that was actually really terrible. Did he have to go outside? Upstairs? He wandered a little before deciding he should just go upstairs, a little bit doubtful that it was the right idea.

Kaleb blinked, and his eyes narrowed a bit. "Get up you mole the mayor is missing and we have to get ready to leave!" he cawed frustratedly, wishing he could just get out there into the dungeons already.

There was a series of muffled shouts, a gasp, and a sudden thud as Cecil came to. Although, he didn’t wake from the comfort of a bed. Instead, he found himself suspended in the air in a familiar hallway. He blankly looked this way and that, blinking in confusion. He must have been sleepwalking (hovering?). Not the best habit to have, but least he couldn’t be blamed for sleeping in… his thoughts were cut short as he spotted one of his newly-announced team members lying on the floor.
“… Um.” He murmured, nervously busying himself by tightening the knot on his cowl. A lot of the others were already making their way down the hall- Cecil raised his hand in a slight wave as the Growlithe passed. Deciding he should follow suit, he picked his mask up from the ground (he wasn’t sure exactly how he’d managed to drop it, but that didn’t matter much now), and was about ready to move on, when he glanced back at his partner.
‘Gather your team’ it was, then.
He hovered a little closer to the ground, trying to see if the Drilbur was even awake. He reached out a hand to tap his shoulder, but hesitated for a moment- he didn’t say anything, but instead only gently shook him. Cecil hoped he wasn’t a deep sleeper.

When Wade had rolled over, he had truthfully awoken, yet refused to open his eyes. At the harsh words of the Rufflet, he became even more resistant toward showing any signs of conciousness- though he did have to hold back quite a bit to keep from tearing up a little. He started to drift back into sleep, when he felt someone lightly shaking him. He opened his eyes very slightly, only to have them shoot wide open in response to waking up face to face with Cecil! Wade jumped up quickly and brushed himself off, noticably turning a faint shade of red, then delivering a rushed apology, and dashed away in the direction everyone else was heading-- not noticing as his scarf dropped off and onto the floor, abandoned in his frantic rush to flee. He caught up to Growlie, left out of breath by his mad dash. "So... what's... going... on??" he panted, still putting in effort in order to keep up with Growlie's fast pace.

Kaleb watched in slight confusion as the Drillbur ran away. The bird turned to his partner once more. "So let's go see what's going on?" he chirped, hopping along to where the rest of the guild was gravitating in an attemt to hear about what WAS going on.

Growlie sighed in relief when hearing Wade's voice. "You didn't miss much- Other than the fact that Edgar deemed Mayor Chadwick missing. We have to go find him, of course." She stated. Growlie looked back at him, seeing the boy tired; She slowed her pace, eventually seeing his scarf gone. "Wade.... Something's gone. Not Chadwick, but your... neck silk object." She recalled- Having forgotten its name. "Oh, a Scarf!" The dog sincerely hoped that Volt wouldn't hear it, resulting in him mocking each other; Thus starting a fight.
